"Eat healthy, eat quality" activities successfully held

On the occasion of the Sino-French Environment Month, the French Embassy Science and Technology Office in China and the Chinese Society of Nutrition launched a series of activities on the theme "Eat healthy, eat quality" on October 17. One of the series of activities was an exchange meeting on nutrition and health links and food policy reports launched by the Science and Technology Department of the French Embassy in China in conjunction with the School of Food Science and Nutrition Engineering of the Agricultural University of China, the Chinese Association of Registered Nutritionists and the French National Institute of Health and Medical Sciences. The symposium was held in the morning of October 17 in the lecture hall of the School of Food Science and Nutrition Engineering, China Agricultural University. More than 150 people participated in the event. The main contents of the activities include an introduction of the relationship between nutrition and disease/health, an overview of China's dietary status and nutrition-related policies, and a demonstration of France's experience and cases in helping to solve the problem of food imbalance through public dietary policies closely related to agro-processing and retail industries.
